Before it became slang, the term glory hole held sacred, rugged, and practical meaning: In the mines of Colorado, a glory hole referred to the rich vertical cavities where miners struck gold, where treasure was pulled from deep within the earth. It was a place of value, of labor rewarded, of striking something rare.
In glassblowing, a glory hole is the furnace’s reheat chamber, where the glass returns to flame to stay malleable, shapable, alive. Without the glory hole, the art loses its form.
So when we chose our name, we didn’t just reclaim it, we restored it. To its rightful meaning. A place where transformation happens. Where heat creates beauty. Where something raw becomes something remarkable.

We’re located just minutes from Colorado Springs, Fort Carson, and Security-Widefield. Easy parking is available directly in front of the studio.
